How to Make a Tray Bake Recipe

How to Make a Tray Bake Recipe

Who doesn’t love a traybake? They are delicious, and the simplicity of the recipes helps reduces clean-up. With only one baking tray to wash once you’re done, you have more time to enjoy dessert.

Tray bakes can include a variety of ingredients, such as meats, seafood, vegetables and spices. Aside from savoury tray bakes, you can make sweet tray bakes, including brownies, flapjacks and other bakes that are ideal for sharing.

Firstly, you’ll need to decide which ingredients you want to use. Ingredients-wise, you’ll need the following:

1. Your choice of protein: Choose from sausages, chicken or even tofu.

2. A variety of vegetables: You can include potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and more.

You’ll also need some:

  • Olive oil,
  • Salt and pepper,
  • Herbs and spices (cumin, rosemary, thyme and paprika are all great.)

Once you’ve decided on your ingredients, the hard part is done. Simply preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan-assisted), prepare your ingredients by slicing and seasoning them, drizzle with oil and toss until fully coated, then bake for 25–35 minutes.

You can customise the ingredients and seasonings to your taste. For inspiration, browse our traybake dinner recipes above.
