Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
  • Peel the apples. Quarter, core and roughly chop.
  • Pop the apples in a 18x18cm oven dish with the salted caramel sauce and 1 tbsp sugar.
  • Mix well, ensuring the apples are evenly coated. Set aside.

  • Chop half your butter into 1cm pieces, (you'll use the rest later).
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour and the remaining sugar.
  • Add the chopped butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add the granola and mix through.
  • Top the apples with the crumble mixture, ensuring it's evenly distributed.

  • Pop the oven dish onto the bottom shelf of the oven.
  • Bake until the crumble is golden and the caramel sauce is bubbling, 30-35 mins.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
