Preheat your oven to 190°C/170°C fan/gas mark 5.
Halve, core and finely chop the pear.
In a bowl, mix the cake batter, cinnamon and chopped pear.
Line an oven dish (approx 15x20cm) and pop the batter into it.

Bake the cake in the oven until it's firm to touch and a skewer inserted comes out clean, 45-50 mins.
Once cooked, set aside to cool completely.
Meanwhile, add the cream cheese and 2 tsp sugar to a bowl.
Whisk vigorously until smooth, 1 min.

Once cooled, transfer the cake to a plate or serving board.
Place the cream cheese frosting in a piping bag and drizzle over the cake (you can also use a freezer bag with a small incision in one of the corners).
Or, if you prefer, simply spoon the frosting on top.
