Cooking Steps

Get Prepped
1
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
  • Peel and grate the garlic (or use a garlic press).
  • Trim the salad leaves then chop or tear into bite-sized pieces.
  • Trim the cucumber then quarter lengthways. Chop widthways into small pieces.
Bake the Croutons
2
  • Tear the ciabattas into roughly 2cm chunks.
  • Pop onto a lined baking tray then toss with the garlic, a generous drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the oven until crispy and golden brown, 8-10 mins.
Fry the Chicken
3
  • Place a hand on top of the chicken and slice through horizontally to make thin steaks.
  • Place a large pan over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • When hot, add the chicken and bacon and season with the garlic herbs.
  • Cook through, 3-6 mins each side. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and equipment after handling raw chicken and its packaging. Chicken is cooked when no longer pink in the middle.

TIP: Notice a stronger smell from your chicken? Don’t worry, this is normal due to packaging we use to keep it fresh.

Make the Dressing
4
  • In a large bowl mix the aoili, half the cheese, cracked black pepper and a drizzle of oil.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper. Loosen with a splash of water if preferred.
Finishing Touches
5
  • Add the salad leaves, cucumber, and garlic croutons to the bowl with the dressing.
  • Toss until fully combined then season to taste with salt and pepper
  • Once the chicken has cooked, remove from the pan and thinly slice.
Divide and Serve
6
  • Divide the Caesar salad between plates.
  • Top with the pan-fried chicken.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
