Cooking steps

1

Boil a large pot of salted water for the rice.

Add the rice, 1/2 the turmeric (double for 4p) and cook for 10-12 mins. Drain in a sieve and pop back in the pot. Cover with a lid and leave to the side until ready to serve. TIP: If you’re in a hurry you can boil the water in your kettle.

Peel and grate the garlic (or use a garlic press).

2

Place a pan over medium-high heat (no oil).

Once the pan is hot, fry the beef mince until browned, 5-6 mins. Use a spoon to break it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and equipment after handling raw mince. Mince is cooked when no longer pink in the middle.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

3

Once the rice is cooked, stir it into the beef with the chicken stock, korma style paste and peas until well combined. The, stir the mango chutney through your pilaf.

Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed. Add a splash of water if it's a little dry.

4

When ready, share the beef pilaf between your bowls.

Drizzle over the yoghurt to finish.
