How to Make Beef Mince Meatballs

How to Make Beef Mince Meatballs

To make enough beef meatballs to serve four, use the following steps. Simply increase the ingredients proportionally to make more or less.

  1. Allow 400g of beef mince to come up to room temperature after removing it from the fridge.
  2. Put the mince into a large mixing bowl and combine it with 50g of breadcrumbs. You can make breadcrumbs with leftover, stale bread by blitzing it in a food processor.
  3. Optionally, add a finely chopped small onion plus a clove of minced garlic, working these ingredients into the mix.
  4. Crack an egg into a cup and lightly beat it with a fork.
  5. Add the egg to the mixture to bind it, combining everything by hand.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, and add optional herbs like chopped parsley.
  7. Form the mixture into balls by rolling them in the palms of the hands. Do so lightly, as there’s no need to push hard and squash the ingredients.
  8. With the beef mince meatballs prepared, transfer them to a frying pan after washing your hands. Using a spoon, add a little oil to brown the surfaces.
  9. The meatballs are now ready and can be added to any meatball recipe.
