Cooking Steps

Get Prepped

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7. 
  • Peel and grate the garlic (or use a garlic press).
  • Trim the salad leaves, then thinly slice or tear into bite-sized pieces.
  • Trim the cucumber, then quarter lengthways. Chop widthways into small pieces.
Bake the Croutons

  • Tear the ciabatta's into roughly 2cm chunks.
  • Pop onto a lined baking tray then toss with the garlic and a generous drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the oven until crispy and golden brown, 8-10 mins.
Fry the Chicken

Place your hand flat on top of the chicken breast and slice through horizontally to make two thin steaks. Place a large pan over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. 
When hot, add the chicken steaks and season with the garlic & herbs. Cook through, 3-6 mins each side (cook in batches if your pan is getting crowded). IMPORTANT: Wash your hands and equipment after handling raw chicken and its packaging. Chicken is cooked when no longer pink in the middle. TIP: Notice a stronger smell from your chicken? Don’t worry, this is normal due to packaging we use to keep it fresh.

Make the Dressing

In a large bowl mix the aoili, half the grated Italian style cheese, black pepper and a drizzle of oil together. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

Finishing Touches

  • To the large bowl, add salad leaves, cucumber, and garlic croutons.
  • Toss until fully combined with the dressing, then season to taste with salt and pepper
  • Once the chicken has cooked, remove it from the pan and thinly slice it.
Divide and Serve

  • Divide the Caesar salad between plates and top with the pan-fried Chicken. Sprinkle over the remaining cheese.
