Cooking Steps

Get Prepped

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
  • Drain and halve grilling cheese lengthways. Quarter each half lengthways to make evenly sized batons.
  • Add to a bowl of cold water.
  • Halve the bacon widthways (use scissors if easier), then stretch each piece slightly using the back of a knife. Pat dry with kitchen paper.
Wrap the Grilling Cheese

  • Remove the cheese from the water and pat dry with kitchen paper.
  • Wrap each grilling cheese slice with a piece of bacon. Place on a lined baking tray.
  • Bake the bacon-wrapped cheese on the top shelf of your oven until golden, 15-20 mins. Turn the tray halfway through. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and equipment after handling raw meat. Cook bacon thoroughly.
  • Meanwhile, pop the aioli and sweet chilli sauce into a small bowl. Mix together until combined.
Divide and Serve

  • Once cooked, remove the cheese from the oven.
  • Transfer to a serving plate. 
  • Serve with the sweet chilli aioli alongside for dipping.
