Cooking Steps

Get Prepped
1
  • Peel and grate the garlic (or use a garlic press).
  • Roughly chop the mushrooms.
  • Halve, peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
  • Boil a large pot of salted water for the linguine. When boiling, add the linguine to the water and bring back to the boil.
  • Cook until softened, 10-12 mins. Once cooked, drain in a colander and pop back in the pot, off the heat. Drizzle with oil and stir through to prevent sticking.

TIP: If you’re in a hurry you can boil the water in your kettle.

Time to Fry
2
  • Place a large pan over high heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • Sear the beef until cooked through, 2-3 mins. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and equipment after handling raw meat and its packaging. Meat is safe to eat when the outside is browned. Remove once cooked.
  • Add the mushrooms and onion to the pan.
  • Fry until browned, 5-6 mins, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the mushrooms have browned, add the garlic to the pan and cook for 1 min more.
Make the Sauce
3
  • Add the miso paste, white wine stock powder and 150ml water (Per 2P). Simmer for 2-3 mins.
  • Add the creme fraiche, Italian style cheese and a splash of water to loosen the sauce if needed.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Dish Up
4
  • Toss the salad leaves with salt, pepper, balsamic glaze and a drizzle of oil.
  • Stir the cooked pasta and beef strips through the sauce and divide between bowls.
  • Top the pasta with the salad leaves.
