Cooking Steps

Get Prepped
1
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
  • Thinly slice the tomato.
  • Halve the ciabattas lengthways. Pop them into the oven, cut-side up, to warm through, 2-3 mins.

TIP: To avoid turning on your oven, warm the bread in the toaster instead.

Assemble the Sandwich
2
  • Once the ciabattas are warmed, spread the cream cheese over the cut side of each ciabatta base.
  • Top with salad leaves (as much or as little as you like).
  • Layer the ham and then the Ballymaloe relish and  tomato slices on top of the salad. Season with salt and pepper. Add a drizzle of oil if desired.
Slice and Serve
3
  • Sandwich closed with the ciabatta lid.
  • Divide your dish between plates.
